Commonly used raw material types for gear processing

Section 1 Metal Materials

1. Ferrous metal:

1.1 Carbon steel S45C (45#);

1.2 Free cutting steel SUM24L, SUM12 (Y12), SUM23 (US grade: SAE1215);

1.3 alloy structural steel SCM415 (15CrMo), SCM420 (20CrMo), SCM435 (35CrMo), SCM440 (42CrMo), 38CrMoAl (SACM645), SCr440 (40Cr);

1.4 bearing steel SUJ2 (GCr15);

1.5 Stainless steel SUS430 (1Cr17), SUS420F, SUS303, SUS304 (0Cr18Ni9).

The above parentheses are Chinese Standard (GB) grades, and outside the brackets are Japanese Standard (JIS) grades.

Section 2 Non-ferrous materials

2.1 copper and copper alloy C3604, C3602, H62, H59, HPb59-1, HPb62-1, QSn6.5-0.1;

2.2 Aluminum and aluminum alloy 6061 (divided into 0 state, T4, T6 state according to the state).

Section III Other non-metallic materials

Polyoxymethylene (POM), polyamide (nylon-PA)
